All orders are subject to availability and in most cases approximate/estimated lead time is stated for each specific item in the bespoke section of our site. These lead times are, for the most part, entirely driven by the fact that everything we make - we make to order (and what we do takes time)
Upon placing an order, all clients will be contacted with an estimated lead time for delivery (taking the making time and delivery times into account) We apologise that we cannot be held responsible for unforeseen delays in the arrival of goods for shipping or import/export reasons - but we will always do our level best to solve any problems these delays might cause. Our delivery estimation shall be in no form binding upon METHOD STUDIO LTD and shall at no point be a condition of any contractual obligation with clients.
- We will inform you as soon as your items have been dispatched and provide a DHL tracking code.
- We reserve the right to refuse delivery to any company or individual.

- Our inability to obtain authorisation for your payment.
- The identification of a pricing or product description error on the site.
- You not meeting the eligibility to order criteria as set out in our terms and conditions
METHOD STUDIO LTD will store ordered work at no extra charge for up to 1 month after completion - to make the delivery date as convenient as possible. If a delivery date is arranged for after this time METHOD STUDIO LTD reserve the right to charge a small storage fee until the customer has the goods delivered, on a sliding scale dependent upon the size of the work.
- Deliveries are charged depending on the distance being travelled (for international shipping please contact us) please do check price stated when ordering.
- All items must be signed for at the point of delivery. In signing the delivery note, you are acknowledging that the item(s) delivered are in good condition and in no way faulty or damaged.
- Should no one be present to receive the product at the pre-arranged time, a relevant delivery fee may be levied (irrespective of your invoice) for re-delivery.
- It is the responsibility of the client to responsibly dispose of all packaging/crates from delivery of Method Studio Ltd products. However, our work is generally delivered in custom made hard flight cases...and they are very useful things to keep!
- It is your responsibility to ensure that the products purchased will fit into your property. Please make sure you measure carefully before ordering any of our products - and if there is any question as to sizing, please contact us to discuss before making any purchase.
Every effort is made to ensure that the products you view online correspond as closely as possible to the final made to order pieces. However, due to the handmade nature of our products and the fine, natural materials we use in their creation, slight variations can and do occur. No responsibility can be accepted for these variations (after all, a hint of individuality only serves to make a bespoke piece that little bit more unique) It is always important to bear in mind that computer browsers may present colours slightly differently.
It is important to note that the shade and grain of the wood will vary from piece to piece. This is because no boards are the same. We believe this is one of the positive qualities of wood and helps to make each product personal, and special.
Due to the nature of the timber we use and the handmade quality of the work, each piece is likely to be unique in appearance, colour and finish. Dimensions may be +/- 20mm from the sizes given online, to avoid disappointment on the day, please bear this in mind when measuring your space and ordering products.
For the long term maintenance of any solid wood product we recommend that there are no direct sources of strong heat very close by. Wood is a natural product and whilst METHOD STUDIO LTD only use timber that is very well seasoned and dried, some movement and shrinkage can, and will occur in the home. Placing a piece of furniture up against a radiator will exaggerate this and may cause movement and in some cases slight cracking, but central heating will also have an effect over time. This is all part of the journey of your piece - and is a perfectly natural part of the work settling in to it's new home. (the beauty of using solid hardwood is that if, over the years, a drawer begins to stick, it can always be trimmed slightly to fit) Help ease this transition from workshop to home by keeping heating slightly lower and gradually increasing it to it's normal level over the first month.
On a daily basis the furniture will not require much maintenance apart from dry dusting. We recommend that if the work appears a little thirsty you might apply a good quality beeswax or hard-wax oil depending on your finish to keep the furniture well nourished and safeguard against shrinkage. (we advise specific care instructions when each individual piece is sent out) METHOD STUDIO LTD advise you to avoid using any spray based cleaning products, as these often contain a lot of water, or abrasive cleaning products. If in doubt about the finish of your product please contact us before applying any products.
Leather & fabric
Shades may vary slightly from those shown in samples and in photographic images on our website, again this is because we use organic, vegetable tanned leathers (which develop a patina over time, complimenting the timbers natural ageing process) and natural suedes - where the natural colour can and will vary slightly from sample swatches and online images.
The reproduction of colours on our website is as accurate as photographic and publishing processes will allow. Please note there may be variations in colours dependent on the calibration and settings of individual screens.
All dimensions are approximate, but close - due to the fact that our products are handmade sizes may vary slightly (contact us directly for specific sizing of specific products)
Whilst every effort has been taken to remove lubricants and oil residues from any metalwork (including sealing with beeswax) care should still be taken with light coloured clothing as some marking is possible, especially with steel hardware. and engineered components. If this occurs then firm rubbing / polishing with a lint free cloth on the affected area is recommended.
The pieces on our bespoke page are all made-to-order products, therefore we are afraid that, excepting product failure due to design or manufacturing faults these are non returnable items.
We are unable to offer a refund or exchange on personalised, made to measure bespoke pieces unless they are deemed to have a manufacturing or design fault.
Due to the bespoke, handmade nature of our work, and the high cost of the premium materials we use, in the unlikely event that a project is cancelled for any reason by the client after a deposit or full payment has been made and work has begun, this deposit is non-refundable. In this instance any work completed up to this point and materials purchased shall remain the property of Method Studio Ltd. In extreme circumstances exceptions can be made. In this case please contact us to discuss personally.
All of our work is guaranteed for one year, on condition that each item is cared for in accordance with the advice contained on the METHOD STUDIO LTD website and product care guide. On occasion unforeseen issues can arise with timber as it dries (often this is impossible to predict) Where appropriate METHOD STUDIO LTD will repair the item free of charge during this period, or we will replace the piece entirely at our discretion if we believe this is appropriate. After this period has elapsed we will happily repair products at our workshop - as hardwood items should last a lifetime with proper maintenance - but these repairs will be subject to a small and reasonable service charge and delivery/collection cost, based on the severity and causes of the specific issue.
Should an item arrive faulty, we will automatically offer either a replacement or a full refund. We reserve the right to repair an item rather than replace it where necessary. Refunds will be issued to the card that was used to place the order once the goods have been received back into our workshop. If you paid 50% deposit for your products and the further balance upon confirmation of your delivery, your refund may be in two separate instalments.
We cannot refund products that have been damaged due to wear and tear - but we are very happy to discuss making repairs over the course of the pieces life, for an appropriate fee - contact us directly for details.
The wood used in our METHOD STUDIO LTD products often has a rustic look making each item slightly different in colour, appearance, measurements and finish. We will not exchange items on a 'like for like' basis purely on the grounds of the character of the wood used, and it must be understood that though every attempt to create a work as close in appearance to the sample product show online will be made by our craftsmen - final timber and grain selection will be at their discretion.
Our Trading policy does not affect your statutory rights. METHOD STUDIO LTD is based in the UK and trades under UK law and regulations.
