 - Architects of Objects -

‘We help companies create emotional, memorable connections with their customers’

Method is a creative production house, specialising in the design, project management and small-batch manufacture of very finely crafted bespoke objects.

The studio combines and delivers a wide range of end-to-end creative services, with a near obsessive eye for detail and a playful, theatrical style.

Our passionate team of designers and artisan craftsmen works directly with luxury brands, architects and agencies to develop, design and produce complex, evocative bespoke pieces which wordlessly communicate their sophisticated values (and often quite literally transport & showcase them)

We have been fortunate to craft the remarkable with: Burberry, Bentley Motors, Vacheron Constantin, Jaguar Land Rover, Estee Lauder, Fortnum & Mason, The Glasgow School of Art and Globe-Trotter.

Teamwork and practical collaboration is at the very heart of the what we do, with the skilled hands and experience of each of our trusted master-craftsmen evident in every creation.

But the husband and wife team of the studio's co-founders; architect and designer Marisa Giannasi and second generation woodworker Callum Robinson, are the filter through which every decision is considered, refined and distilled.

Both bring very different skills, backgrounds and perspectives, but together they apply an inventive, holistic and practical approach to the entire process - which is uniquely Method.

'We like to think of ourselves as architects of objects. An experienced, down-to-earth, communicative team that can always be trusted to really care about the project as a whole, to go the extra mile, and to make the process personal, memorable and enjoyable...with just a hint of magic!'

Method's combined design studio and award winning artisan workshop is located in a lovingly restored timber sawmill, nestled in the hills above the historic Royal Burgh of Linlithgow, in central Scotland.

Although easily accessed from Edinburgh airport and city (25mins) the sawmill is isolated among mature spruce and pine, making it an excellent location for filming, photography and press-visits - whilst also being in comfortable reach of London.

The team also designs and handcrafts a range of made-to-order fine furniture, which can be seen and commissioned at the M74 Store (Method at 74) located less than 3 miles from the workshop, at 74 the High St in the Historic Royal Burgh of Linlithgow.

'Being surrounded by trees, water and wildlife - and so much a part of the changing seasons - has a strong influence on our work, and on the material-driven, gleefully hands-on atmosphere we weave into the fabric of each project'
